SUCCESS: Motivation Monday.

Success means different things to different folks.A more accepted definition of success is: The accomplishment of an aim or purpose.

You really can take control of your life and succeed. Unfortunately life does not come with a manual. Most people struggle through life and wonder why they never get anywhere. You do not have to be one of them.Your life should be yours to command. Learn how

Critical Success Factors

1. Self Improvement

For many years, success in business depended on showing up every day and doing what you were told. If you did it well enough for long enough, you’d usually moveup through the organization you worked for and end up with a nice pension.Financial success requires personal growthToday showing up and doing the “right” thing is no longer enough, whether you workfor yourself or for others. More and more organizations are looking for creative, innovative, imaginative people who will figure out for themselves what needs to be done instead of waiting to be told. And if you work for yourself, then merely doing what others do, the way others do it, is unlikely to provide significant financial success.Today the world is looking for the intellectually curious, the people who are willing to take risks, who, as Seth Godin puts it, are willing to “poke the box.”If that is what financial success requires in today’s fast-changing world—where what worked yesterday is probably not what is going to work today and certainly won’t be what works tomorrow—then your behavior and emotional state are crucial, and for that you need Self improvement in general to really be successful.

3. Interpersonal Relationships

How well do you relate with people? Take some seconds and think about that*

Close relationships are sometimes called interpersonal relationships. The closest relationships are most often found with family and a small circle of best friends. Interpersonal relationships require the most effort to nurture and maintain. These are also the relationships that give you the most joy and satisfaction. An interpersonal relationship is an association between two or more people that may range from fleeting to enduring. This association may be based on inference, love, solidarity, regular business interactions, or some other type of social commitment. Interpersonal relationships are formed in the context of social, cultural and other influences. The context can vary from family or kinship relations, friendship, marriage, relations with associates, work, clubs, neighborhoods, and placesof worship. They may be regulated by law, custom, or mutual agreement, and are the basis of social groups and society as a whole. With good interparsonal skills, you are more likely to succeed in different aspects of life.

3. Education

There is a strong correlational between education and income. Obviously, people without a formal degree can be successful. Often people arguing against the need for education will support their position by pointing to hugely successful people like Bill Gates or Steve Jobs who did not graduate from college. If you are a genius like Gates (who got into Harvard with a nearly perfect SAT score and dropped out in his junior year to start Microsoft), then you don’t need to go to college to succeed.Clearly there are many individual examples of people who succeed with less education than others. However, studies show that success and income increase with more education. If you have the innate intelligence, drive, and luck to succeed without an education – good for you. Just be careful that you avoid buying into the story that you do not need an education. Looking back 20-30 years later, you may regret the decision to pass on more education.
